Jakarta, 25 November 2016. The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) involved in “the Joint Briefing and Planning Meeting on Implementation the ASEAN agenda on Responsible Business”, which was held in ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, on 24-25 November 2016.
Over the last few decades, the region has made substantial progress in promoting CSR. The Workshop exchanged ideas on the practices and experiences of implementing CSR by various ASEAN entities and stakeholders with the aim to build greater synergy and maximize the full potential of CSR to assist realization of relevant goals under the ASEAN Vision 2025.
The event was organized by ASEAN CSR Network in coordination with the ASEAN Secretariat, and in cooperation with Oxfam and UNIDO. The Workshop was attended by representatives from ASEAN Member States, ASEAN Foundation, ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, ASEAN Business Advisory Council, ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, Oxfam UNIDO and other stakeholders. Mr Gil Gonzales, ASEAN-BAC’s Executive Director ASEAN-BAC served as one of the panelists of the forum. He shared the perspective from the Business.
